The flying, hopping and crawling needs urgent help!
To give all that runs, hops and crawls the help they so desperately need, a lot of volunteer paws - er, hands - are needed. And we are simply always short of those, especially during the summer (holiday) period!
Hence this, rather urgent, call for volunteer drivers and/or control room dispatchers. For daytime and evening, but especially at night.
The Telegraph joined us for two days this week to make a report on our work and the animals, and especially to highlight that we are really short of volunteers.
Do you have your driving licence for at least 2 years and do you like the idea of saving animals in a fat Mercedes and 3-piece business suit? Sign up as an ambulance driver!
Or do you prefer sitting behind sophisticated digital equipment, with coffee, tea and fresh water always at your disposal in an air-conditioned incident room? Are you a real control freak, good with phones and computers, stress-resistant and customer-friendly? Then sign up as an incident room operator!
For both functions:
- 21 years or older;
- socially adept (you deal with quite a lot of different plumage);
- stress-resistant;
- Available for a minimum of 20 hours per month;
- and, most importantly: a big animal heart!
We know very well that we ask a lot, but we also offer you a lot. Especially in the beginning, we ask a lot of you in terms of time and effort, but many (new) colleagues find it absolutely worthwhile. On our website, you can read in detail what we ask of you and what we offer: www.dierenambulance-amsterdam.nl/vrijwilligers.
Enthusiastic and/or curious; send your CV with short motivation to werving@dierenambulance-amsterdam.nl.
