If you have your own garden, then burying your pet yourself is an option. This is only allowed on your own land and make sure your animal lies at least one metre deep. Otherwise, there is a chance that your pet will be dug up again by another animal. If you use a box/coffin, make sure it is biodegradable. Petfarewell's pet funeral box might be an option. The boxes are often available from your own vet, but can also be ordered from Petfarewell.
Destruction
If you do not want cremation or burial, rendering is the most common and cheapest option.
In rendering, your pet, like other deceased animals such as hedgehogs, ducks and sheep, comes to Rendac justified. This is the only company in the Netherlands allowed to process rendering. They convert animal remains into industrial raw materials that serve as (bio)fuel.
