Cat

  • Contact us and we will check if we have transported your cat;
  • Check with your database (the place where the chip number is registered) whether the contact details are still correct and report the loss;
  • Register your cat on Amivedi as missing and regularly look among the found animals;
  • Check if your cat is at a shelter, such as DOA ended up;
  • Hang posters nearby;
  • Post a call on Facebook, e.g. in the groups Amsterdam - Cats missing and found and Lost Found and Runaway in Amsterdam;
  • Search in the evening when it is quiet, take a torch and feed; 
  • Place a call in neighbourhood WhatsApp groups and/or the Nextdoorapp;
  • Retrieved from cat missing find more tips.

Dog

  • Contact us and we will check if we have transported your dog. We will make a note of your details and contact you in case of a sighting report;
  • Check with your database (the place where the chip number is registered) whether the contact details are still correct and report the loss;
  • Register your dog on Amivedi as missing and regularly look among the found animals;
  • Notify your vet and shelter;
  • Go to the place where you last saw your dog. Leave an item of clothing or toy there with the scent of home;
  • Check if your dog is at a shelter, such as DOA ended up;
  • If necessary, contact Dog Search.

Other pet

  • Contact us and we will check if we have transported your animal;
  • Is your animal microchipped? Check with your database (the place where the chip number is registered) whether the contact details are still correct and report the loss;
  • Register your animal on Amivedi as missing and regularly look among the found animals;
  • Hang posters nearby;
  • Check whether your animal is at a shelter, such as DOA or bird shelter The Resort ended up;
  • Post a call on Facebook, e.g. in the group Lost Found and Runaway in Amsterdam;
  • Put any cage with food outside and leave the doors open; 
  • Place a call in neighbourhood WhatsApp groups and/or the Nextdoorapp.
