What we do

We are available 24/7 for animals in need

If your pet is missing, we may have transported your animal. If you use our help for your own pet, we charge a fee for this. Think for example of transport to or from a vet or putting your cat in a carrier. If your pet has died, we can assist you in this difficult period, so that you can say goodbye with dignity.

If you call for a found stray or wild animal, we do not charge a fee. This help is paid for from donations and subsidy. We are two-thirds dependent on donations. You too can support us. As a donor, you get 50% discount on the fare.

In principle, we do not collect young birds and healthy cats. All pets we transport are checked for microchipped. If your pet has been microchipped and your details are properly registered, we will contact you.
Tip: We chip and register pets for €10 per animal.

Methodology

Objectives

020 - 626 21 21

WKR

Gezonde stad

On behalf of the municipality of Amsterdam and Diemen, we collect sick and deceased animals from the streets. In doing so, we prevent (further) outbreaks and spread of animal diseases such as botulism, bird flu and myxomatosis. We collect affected animals and ensure that those still alive receive the treatment they need.

Fireworks

Hallmarks

  • Animal Ambulance Amsterdam has been granted by the Tax Office designated as a Public Benefit Organisation (ANBI) and registered under number 005284612. This means that we do not have to pay gift and/or inheritance tax on donations and inheritances received. Everything therefore actually benefits our work for sick and/or injured animals.
  • We also have a CBF Recognition. The Acknowledgement is the seal of approval for charities issued by regulator CBF. With the Accreditation, organisations show that they meet strict quality requirements. You can give to an Accredited Charity with peace of mind because you can assume that the organisation actually contributes to a better world, handles every euro with care, is accountable and is independently audited.

Have you been called on behalf of Animal Ambulance Amsterdam to become a donor?

That's right! A fundraising organisation helps us recruit donors by contacting anyone who has helped us with an animal in (medical) need. <They call the following phone numbers: 020 - 213 43 11 and 020 - 213 43 12.
