Holidays

We are also available 24/7 during the holidays. What can you look out for during the holidays?

Pat

Are you getting into the car on your way to New Year's Eve, Christmas Eve or another (festive) destination?

If so, give your car's engine a pat, as a cat may have found a warm refuge between your car's wheels or engine.

Chocolate

Delicious all those chocolate letters, Christmas sweets and cakes, but that chocolate is toxic to dogs and cats and can even be deadly. Do your pet a favour and store all the goodies safely.

What is also toxic to dogs and cats: that red poinsettia that sits on many people's tables during the holidays. Symptoms include excessive salivation, vomiting, diarrhoea and, at worst, seizures.
Light in the dark

During the dark months, we regularly take hit dogs to the vet. Even a collision with a cyclist can cause serious injuries. Prevent collisions with other road traffic by lighting up your dog during these dark days. A bicycle light already works well.
